Next year’s spring, get you summer body ready with…hula hoops! Chanel at the Paris Fashion Week for Spring/Summer 2013 debuted an enormously large gym accessory to revamp their classic quilted purse. Um…it would be a nice multi-use accessory if only the purse part can detached, leaving just the hoops.

Fashion and technology have fused once again. Dutch design group Studio Roosegaarde have created a dress that have alternating state of transparency according to the heartbeat of its wearer. Using e-foil technology, the frock turns transparent according to how the wearer feels about the people around her. I can see Lady Gaga placing an order for the dress as we speak.

This one is interesting. A pulsating dress by Dutch designer Cor Baauw. The piece is called Like Living Organisms. Inspired by interactions between humans, the dress “pulsates” when air is pumped through the artificial veins while the neck piece deflates upon touch. It is equipped with sensors to “feel” the touch, a true fuse of fashion and technology.

Like wine, this dress gets better with age, because it grows! The fabric, developed by researchers at the University of Western Australia, uses a microbe called Acetobacter to grow from wine. When dry, the cotton-like cellulose fits tapered to the skin, and feels like sludge when wet.
